POPKO presents five unique sailboat paintings, representing the five POPKO sisters, in honor of their late father, JULIAN POPKO. As a supporter of the Regatta, artist, entrepreneur, photographer, and creator of the Provincetown Lobster Pot Tree, Julian was a highly involved and dearly loved community member. Julian made a huge impact on Provincetown, most notably through art. In his honor, Popko’s daughter, April, has created and donated these five paintings to help raise funds which will support and celebrate the regatta, bring future awareness to coastal studies, educational programs about sailing, nautical themes and ocean topics.
These paintings are on display at Seamen’s Bank, 221 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA, until September 6th, 2018 for viewings. You may bid on these pieces individually or as a complete series of five. Popko’s silent auction bid sheets will be at the Provincetown Chamber of Commerce Inc., 307 Commercial Street #5 at Lopes Square until September 6th. Final bids and presentation will take place at the reception and awards ceremony at the Pavilion, MacMillan Pier at 6pm.
