QUARANTINE WORK

"When there are no words to express what our souls must say, we turn to the arts."              - April Popko
During this time of uncertainty and global change, many people look to the arts for inspiration.  While locked down in quarantine, social and cultural events have been halted and many people crave connection.  We turn to our imaginations through art perhaps as an escape from reality or as a way to stay grounded in uncertain times.  Virtual exhibitions have become a new norm for the art world--a platform for artists to continue in their art practices, express themselves creatively, connect with others and perhaps maybe even try to make sense of this historical time.

The paintings you see in this Virtual exhibit were either created during the quarantine, inspired by the situation or are dedicated to the unexpected heroes and events during the Coronovirus Covid-19 Quarantine of 2020.  I hope you find light and hope within the confines of this unusual experience and let art take you away...Also check out new Virtual Shows created during this time, including the Rainbow Collection!

What did you draw when you were a kid?

My 11-year old daughter drew this today and it made me think about what stories she will have to tell future generations...
