“Angels exist all around us and can take on many different forms, such as light and electric energy.  The wings may simply be a symbol of that energy’s form of “flight” or means of travel.  In my paintings, some images may have large, far-reaching metaphorical wings while others, perhaps, are recognized as tiny abstractions through the use of light, colors and metallic paints and/or iridescence.”—April Popko
